PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND STEPS FOR THOSE SIGNING UP FOR WHALE WATCHING:
- There will be a WDA attendee volunteer to serve as the leader for each boat. Those volunteers will be in contact with attendees.
- Each attendee must sign up on the ExOrdo WDA 2025 website for the whale and wildlife watching tour (plus a guest if they have one). There is a limit to the number able to attend this activity and we are close to the maximum, its a popular choice!
- Note that children of all ages are welcome on the vessels, however, the semi-covered boats are recommended for family use (see descriptions on the website).
- WDA is being charged a vessel charter fee for 3 tour boats and every person (including children) on board will be charged a 6.00 CAN wildlife fee. While there is no charter fee for children 10 and under, the wildlife fee will be charged for all individuals that go on the tour.
- The WDA will send each attendee a waiver to sign and return to the charter company (Eagle Wing Tours) before the conference.
- The attendee will pay WDA for the tour after submitting the waiver, before the conference.
Important Pre-trip information
- Waiver Forms: A link will be sent for you to complete an electronic waiver. These must be submitted, ideally a week prior to the tour (no need to print).
- Meeting point: Lobby of Victoria Conference Center 30 minutes prior to the departure time for your vessel. An Eagle Wing representative will meet you at 1:30 PM, verify your waiver and bring the group to the departure point.
- Dress warmly and for all elements – we suggest layers! It is about 10C cooler on the water. We have some extra jackets, toques (knitted beanies) and jackets to borrow if needed.
- You will have a bag lunch from the conference but there is a small concession on board (granola/chocolate bars, pop, water) based on a cash donation basis.
- If there are any mobility issues, please note on your registration form that you would like to be on Wild 4 Whales.
***The vessel will be chosen for you, no swaps. They will be going to the same area
