Ever wonder how a professional oiled wildlife response occurs, and how you can be part of it? Whether you’re a wildlife agency employee, wildlife biologist, veterinarian, or other professional, we’ll show you how.

This is a full-day workshop consisting of lectures and interactive sessions to provide participants with an overview of wildlife response. Topics will include the effects of oil on wildlife, the Incident Command System (as it applies to wildlife response), general human health and safety, sampling/necropsy, and an overview of each discrete area of a response, both in the field and in a facility.

Coffee/tea and lunch will be provided.

Limited to 30 participants.

Instructors:

  • Jenny Schlieps, Focus Wildlife
  • Michael Ziccardi, Karen C Drayer Wildlife Health Center, UC Davis

Cost:
